Which is the Best Hair Oil: Kérastase Elixir Ultime vs. Moroccanoil  vs. Gisou vs. Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil?

  • Kérastase Elixir Ultime Oil Serum

Hair Type: Straight, Wavy, Curly, and Coily

Hair Texture: Fine, Medium, and Thick

Key Benefits:

- Hydrates

- Fights Frizz

- Adds Shine

Formulation: Oil

Review:Kérastase Elixir Ultime Oil is a blend of four precious hair oils that adds hydration and prevent breakage for anti-frizz shine. It's Kérastase's iconic hair oil for all hair types.

This Elixir Oil is actually a multi-purpose product which, according to the brand, can be used as a pre-wash treatment for intense nourishment, on towel-dried hair as a leave-in conditioner, as a heat protectant against styling tools, or pre/post styling oil, or as a finishing gloss to tame frizz.

Marula Oil - high in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and amino acids, it's effective at keeping hair soft, supple, and moisturized. Camellia Oil is an excellent emollient for keeping hair moist and supple, it absorbs very quickly leaving incredibly shiny hair. Argan Oil is with high contents of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and vitamin E, to naturally increase elasticity, hydrate, soften and restore shiny hair.

It has a nice texture, is fairly light on the hair and tends to give it a subtle shine. But do not expect any extraordinary wonders from it. If you use a lot of it, it can weigh the hair down. So don't putting on more than 2 pumps in one go.

Review: Moroccanoil Treatment is the product that pioneered oil-infused hair care and created the worldwide buzz on argan oil. The original foundation for hairstyling, Moroccanoil Treatment can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool. It can get you the silky, shiny and healthy hair you've always wanted.

Infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil and shine-boosting vitamins, this completely transformative hair treatment detangles, speeds up drying time and boosts shine. The combo of argan and flax seed oils help manage hair while strengthening and protecting it. The non-greasy and fast-absorbing formula is fragranced with the signature Moroccanoil scent, a blend of spicy amber and warm florals.

The Moroccanoil Treatment can be used on both dry or wet hair. No matter what condition your hair is in, you can always count on it to smooth the driest of ends. • Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil

Hair Type: Straight, Wavy, Curly, and Coily

Hair Texture: Fine, Medium, and Thick

Hair Concerns: Dryness, Shine, Damage, Split Ends, and Breakage

Key Benefits:

- Rebuilds and repairs dry, damaged locks

- Deeply nourishes and moisturizes

- Tames flyaways and polishes ends

Formulation: Oil

Review: Gisou's iconic first product, the Honey Infused Hair Oil, is enriched with Mirsalehi Honey from the Mirsalehi Bee Garden, formulated to rebuild and repair hair to the core. With Mama Mirsalehi as a hairdresser and Papa Mirsalehi as a beekeeper, Negin grew up watching her mom mixing honey with all of her beauty products.

Negin wanted to focus on nourishing, restoring and strengthening the hair with its key ingredient as honey from the Mirsalehi bee garden, resulting in healthy, soft and stronger locks with a silky shine. This Honey Infused Oil seems to check off all the essentials you need from the light scent, weightless texture, additional shine, frizz-free and aesthetically pleasing bottle.

This multipurpose hair oil can be used as a pre-styling and finishing product, as an addition to a hair mask and as an overnight treatment. After hopping out of the shower,  use 1-3 drops, warmed it up in the palm of our hands and ran it through wet and tangly hair, you can have never experienced such a smooth moment.

This is a lightweight, concentrated oil that claims to increase softness, shine and manageability, repairs damaged hair, strengthens and protects hair structure and improves color vibrancy while minimizing frizz.

Conclusion

  • Kérastase Elixir Ultime Oil Serum:

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil is not to be as greasy and works in more hair types,  It's best for usage as a hair serum, especially during the summer months. I also used it as a pre-wash oil for nourishment and it produced decent results. It's well-suited for dry and brittle hair, for it tends to moisturize and strengthen when used for regular oiling. It's also good to use as a protective product for heat exposure. But I have to say though, it does not come cheap for sure.

  • Moroccanoil Treatment Original

Moroccan oil is natural oil.  It's also recommended for all hair types, including damaged hair.  The absence of chemicals in Moroccan oil makes it safe. It's a good moisturizer. You can apply it to dry hair to soften it or frizzy hair to defrizz. It can be as a pre-shampoo treatment, as a finishing product, or whenever the hair needs a boost of nourishment. The only difference is that you don't need to rinse it out of your hair.  But it's a little heavy and greasy for oil hair.

  • Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil

Gisou's hair oil is versatile, but most importantly it's effective. It's key ingredient, honey, helps nourish your hair and as a natural humectant, it deeply nourishes and strengthens your hair. Not only can it be used as a pre-styling, overnight treatment, but it revamps your hair ends like no other. It's not greasy or heavy that can apply to the entire head without any concerns. It can leave hair feeling shiny, sleek, non-frizzy and incredibly yummy smelling. In all honesty, Gisou's products feel incredibly luxurious and well worth the price tag.

  • Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil

The Olaplex Bonding Oil is recommended for anyone who regularly uses heat treatments on their hair or has hair that has been damaged from styling or colouring. If you're someone who uses a blow-dryer or flatiron every day, I highly recommend this oil. Additionally, it's a solid treatment to have in your toolkit if you're someone who colors their hair often, or if you're trying to grow your hair out.
