P448 Brand History and Origin

P448 is an Italian footwear brand rooted in the belief that eclecticism, design innovation and continuous experimentation lie at the heart of self-expression. The P448's story starts in 2014, in a small town in northern Italy, Forlì. The brand name itself doesn't have any special meaning. P448 is, in fact, the project number given by its founders.

Marco Samorè and Andrea Curti were brave enough to embark on entrepreneurship, and they wanted to promote the Italian street style in the best possible way. Today, their sneakers have arrived in the Asian market; to be more precise, in China, Japan and Korea.

  • Oliver Cabell review

Oliver Cabell Brand History and Origin

In 2018, a then 29-year-old Scott Gabrielson left his job at a non-profit and moved to England to start a business. With no fashion, retail, or start-up experience, Scott relied on his passion for balanced design and quality footwear to launch Oliver Cabell

The reason why he was one of the most unlikely suspects is that Scott had no experience in fashion, retail or start-ups. Reflectively, Scott's ability to look at things from a different angle, is the very skill that allows him to make direct-to-consumer footwear that challenges the status quo. The team has grown and relocated to the U.S. now.

Like most other minimal white sneakers, the Oliver Cabell Low 1 has a streamlined, straightforward design. It has a slightly straight and a bit narrower than some other sneakers, but that doesn't detract from its classic look.

Like some much more expensive options, the Low 1 features Margom soles. Margom soles are some of the best you can use for a sneaker, and Oliver Cabell further increases the quality by gluing and stitching them to the upper. Oliver Cabell The Low 1 is available in different colors. You can choose from colors like triple white, all black, off-white, and one suede option.

  • Gucci review

Gucci Brand History and Origin

Gucci is an Italian fashion label founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, making it one of the oldest Italian fashion brands in operation today. Like many historic fashion houses, the brand started out as a luggage manufacturer, producing luxury travel goods for Italy's wealthy upper-classes, as well as equestrian equipment.

Led by its current creative director, Alessandro Michele, Gucci has established a two-pronged approach to its sneaker strategy, combining classic Gucci silhouettes such as the Ace, Tennis 1977, or Gucci Ace GG with more fashion-forward designs such as the Rhyton or Flashtrek.

Gucci Sneakers Prices:

Womens Sneakers: $550-$1125; Womens Sneakers: $450-$1650.

Gucci Sneakers Design & Style

Gucci Ace sneakers became an overnight success ever since they were first introduced in 2016. Gucci sneakers are known for their use of red and green detailing, as well as intricate animal embroidery and bold logo placement. The retro style looks to classic detailing that catches eyes but doesn't scream for attention.

The sneakers feature a white, buffed leather upper with a round toe. Three velcro straps replace the customary lacing, while a padded tongue and collar provide extra comfort. Green and red heel tabs are joined by an oversized logo printed across the arch in gray, yellow, and red. A treaded rubber sole completes the look. The range now has expanded far beyond the classic “bee” design to incorporate more bold accents such as spikes, sequins and seasonal prints.

Gucci Sneakers Quality - Material & Durability

Gucci Ace sneakers are popular and cool looking, but they are a completely different breed to a standard pair of sneakers. Beautiful crafted with intricate detail and finish, their purpose is to stand out and bedazzle rather serve a purely practical purpose.

These sneakers are genuine leather and do have to be broken in a bit. You should wear them extended periods of time and then will find them comfortable. However, It is very hard for Gucci shoes to get irreparable damage. Given the quality of craftsmanship that the designers use, any good cobbler can repair Gucci shoes, or rather the wearer can decide to send them to Gucci for repair services.

  • Conclusion

P448 vs. Golden Goose vs. Oliver Cabell vs. Gucci Sneakers: which brand is the best?

P448 Sneakers

P448's trendy sneakers are a great luxury Italian sneaker at a more reasonable price point than the obvious main competitor, depending on your budget. They're comfortable and have a unique style. The leather is naturally soft and forms to your foot rather quickly, making them worth it for those who want a fashionable sneaker they can wear with every outfit. Like Golden Goose, the sneakers of P448 are also perfect for any casual event or in city streets adventure.

Golden Goose Sneakers

If you're up for something a little more fun and edgy,  and willing to spend a little extra on a quality pair of casual shoes, I recommend Golden Goose sneakers. There is no alternative to the unique design and branding of the Golden Goose sneaks. Despite their worn-in look, Golden Goose sneakers are high-quality. They're decently comfortable and very versatile, so you'll get a lot of wear out of them. They have plenty of neutral options to wear with more outfits.

Oliver Cabell Sneakers

Oliver Cabell handmakes luxury footwear using modern materials coupled with old-school techniques, then offer them to you, minus the markups. It's a must for me for minimalist sneakers, because the draw is the clean aesthetic. Calfskin leather ages nicely and doesn't form hard, awkward creases. That said, the leather uppers are a little stiff out of the box. I do notice a little bit of friction in the shoe.

Gucci Sneakers

Gucci Ace epitomizes Gucci's concept of luxury. The retro style looks to classic detailing that catches eyes. Beautiful crafted with intricate detail and finish, their purpose is to stand out. Lightweight and never too bold, the Gucci Ace is versatile and completely timeless. If you're into trends and want to be noticed, definitely go with the Gucci. Gucci are all leather so they will get buttery soft with time.
