For those who can't eat spicy snacks, I highly recommend Doritos® Cool Ranch Flavored Tortilla Chips.

The introduction of Cool Ranch Doritos in 1986 seemed to truly bring flavored tortilla chips into the snack food realm.

Cool Ranch Doritos are sold in the UK as "Cool Original" and elsewhere in Europe as "Cool American" because ranch dressing is less common there.

It's no secret that addicts, gamers, and junk food lovers alike consider Doritos to be the perfect chip, and of all the flavors, Cool Ranch reigns king.

I really love eating Cool Ranch Doritos and have been eating them since I was a kid.

Cool Ranch Doritos are sprinkled with zesty cool ranch seasoning for a rich, bold flavor with an earth-shattering crunch that's deeply satisfying.

Cool Ranch has just the right amount of seasoning: not too much, not too little. Here's a safe bet: so far, I haven't met a single person who would disagree that the Cool Ranch flavor is one of the best.

With a bit of corn, a bit of ranch, a bit of cheese and hints of onions, garlic, tomatoes and spices, you can't go wrong with Cool Ranch chips.

Extra benefits? Also reduce fat. With each bite of these chips containing 25% less fat than regular Doritos, and only 140 calories per bag, you'll be able to snack on them guilt-free.

Not only do the beloved chips taste delicious, but they also save the feaster the hassle of dirty body parts that many other flavors of Doritos suffer from.

It's a classic for a reason and is great for a variety of uses, whether sprinkled on top of a Taco Bell hard taco or eaten straight from the bag.

#2. Doritos Sweet & Tangy BBQ Tortilla Chips

If you don't like spicy food, then do you like sweet food?

If so, then I would recommend the sweet and tangy barbecue flavor of Doritos tortilla chips.

Perhaps almost all less spicy Doritos have more corn flavor, since saltier, spicier seasonings tend to overpower the flavor of the tortilla chips themselves.

These sweet and tangy BBQ Doritos also come in bold flavors and look and smell like they just came out of the bag. The rich sour aroma, sweet barbecue flavor, and the aroma of seasoning powder hit your nostrils.

Overall, I liked the Doritos Sweet and Tangy BBQ Tortilla Chips, even though it didn't have much of the standard BBQ flavor and smokiness. But the combination of tomatoes, sweet sugar, and malic acid manages to achieve that barbecue flavor with sweet and sour punch in a super special way while still being a hit.

Packing more sweetness in each bite would have offered a more Hawaiian barbecue level of taste that would make it more unique.

#3. Takis Intense Nacho Cheese Rolled Tortilla Chips

Aside from Doritos, Takis ranks as my second favorite brand of tortilla chips.

I admit that my favorite flavor is Takis Fuego, this flavor is most popular and best known for its "Fuego" flavor (Hot Chili Pepper & Lemon) which is the spiciest of them all and comes in a bright purple bag .

But for people who can't tolerate spiciness, I definitely recommend Intense Nacho.

The Intense Nacho page on the Takis website promises that these chips are packed with power even without the tantalizing spices, and my review of the flavor confirms that this delicious snack packs a punch.

Similar to cheddar and sour cream ruffles, it's a more tart cheese flavor that's different from the sweeter cheese snacks on the shelf.

Intense Nacho Takis are for anyone who loves cheese, zest and crunch but doesn't like spice. They are cheesy and crunchy.

Takis tortilla chips are not only the ultimate snack, but they're also a great treat to share with friends and family. Buy a bag and try it.

#4. On The Border® Café Style Tortilla Chips

($4.12 FROM Walmart - Get Up To 4% Cash Back)

($2.99 FROM Kroger  - Get Up To 4% Cash Back)

For those of you who can’t stand a little spice, I recommend you try On the Border Cafe Style Tortilla Chips.

The chips are heavy with a delicious salty flavor.

If you like salty snacks, you might like the signature cafe-style  tortilla chip toes. The perfect combination of thin, crispy and sturdy, resulting in dip-ready tortilla chips that don't feel like biting into a big chunk of corn.

The real selling point, however, is the texture. These tortilla chips are crispy, gritty, and filled with air bubbles that have fallen into the hot oil.

If you eat these chips on their own, you'll find that they are extremely salty and leave a slightly greasy residue on your fingers. Therefore, I recommend pairing them with dipping sauces for the ultimate snacking experience.

Even with the dipping sauce, the tortilla chips remained surprisingly crispy. The last bite delivered a satisfying mix of crunch, salt, and savory goodness that even a spicy foodie like me fell in love with.

#5. Santitas® White Corn Tortilla Chips

($2.88 FROM Walmart - Get Up To 4% Cash Back)

($2.00 FROM Kroger  - Get Up To 4% Cash Back)

Want affordable Santitas? But they are not widely available in every state.

I like to think of them as more mature Tostitos: they're thin and salty, but the toasted corn flavor is more pronounced.

Santitas chips, on the other hand, are much firmer than the late July chips, which are thicker and have a more grainy texture. They also have a stronger corn flavor and less greasiness.

Santitas may be more easily recognized by the "Only $2" sticker on the bag—which, we should note, has now increased to $2.69 (or about $0.24 per ounce). The chips are very affordable for customers and come in a variety of flavors, including white corn, cilantro-lime white corn, yellow corn and lightly seasoned yellow corn.

Almost every Santitas chip is so salty that when you pick up the chip, they are the kind of chip you can feel the rough little grains of salt on your fingers.

#6. Calidad® Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips

Calidad's most interesting quality is a crumbly, puff pastry-like vibe.

They're almost fragile, but don't venture into ultra-fragile territory.

It's a real pleasure to eat as these flaky tortilla chips tend to disappear in your mouth. The fat and salt content of Calidad also makes some people crave it. It is not as greasy and salty as On the Border, and may be more suitable as a daily snack.

The flavor was corny, and despite the delicate texture, these chips scooped up the guacamole without breaking.

These chips are light, crunchy, and best of all, they're Mexican restaurant quality. You deserve to try it!

#7. Tostitos® Original Restaurant Style Tortilla Chips

($5.48 FROM Walmart - Get Up To 4% Cash Back)

($5.99 FROM Kroger  - Get Up To 4% Cash Back)

How many people like Tostitos? It's actually the second most popular tortilla chip in America. In 2023 alone, Tostitos sold more than 376 million bags of tortilla chips, second only to Doritos, whose nacho cheese and cool ranch-flavored products fill a variety of game-day needs.

I think the deliciousness of Tostitos is only average in the market, but it is still worth recommending to you.

They're crunchy and massive. That means it has more surface area to cover with sauce.

While the chips did absorb a good portion of the sauce, it did lose some of its texture with all the moisture. The loss of crunch is minimal, but noticeable enough.

You can eat these snacks on their own.

Tostitos are not overly greasy, moderately salty, and slightly light on the corn flavor.

The crunch is audible and satisfying, and with Tostitos you always get tortilla chips that are light, crispy and consistent.

#8. Simply Doritos Organic White Cheddar Tortilla Chips

($3.98 FROM Walmart - Get Up To 4% Cash Back)

These chips have a nice, very slight spice that makes them easy to enjoy without overwhelming your taste buds.

If you like white cheddar tortilla chips, you'll probably like this.

Being organic, the cheese had a very bland flavor and the texture wasn't as crunchy as we would have liked. But it seems to look healthier for people who don't want heavy seasoning.

#9. Late July® Organic Sea Salt Thin and Crispy Tortilla Chips

($5.99 FROM Walmart - Get Up To 4% Cash Back)

($5.99 FROM Kroger  - Get Up To 4% Cash Back)

The chips are a bit pricey compared to other brands; a 10-ounce bag costs $5.99. If buying organic products is important to you, these are a great option. However, it doesn't make sense to buy these premium chips when you can get the same flavor profile from regular chips for half the price.

Speaking of taste, they are salted but not too salty. The corn flavor is definitely there.

These organic snacks have a more oval, spatula-like shape than other spoon-shaped chips to maximize scooping volume.

This spade tortilla chip scoops out 50 grams of chunky guacamole, while Tostitos Original Restaurant Style Tortilla Chips scoop out 64 grams of chunky guacamole.

The chips were a little flimsy and crumbly, they were too thin.

Straight from the bag, these chips offer a satisfying crunch that wears off quickly. The same goes for chips containing guacamole, which provides a quick crunch when chewed but the texture wears off quickly.

The products in late July have a mild taste and are not pungent at all. If you don’t like spicy snacks, will you like this bland taste?

#10. Doritos Taco Flavored Tortilla Chips

($14.99 FROM Walmart - Get Up To 4% Cash Back)

Doritos' Taco-flavored tortilla chips have both big flavor and history.

It was the second flavor introduced nationwide in 1967, adding a bold, spiced and more Mexican snack flavor to the first roasted corn flavored version.

The taco flavored tortilla chips we had now were more like regular tortilla chips and although heavily seasoned, were not as spicy as other Doritos.

Do not misunderstand! It's still tangy but not spicy.

I love Taco Doritos because of their salty, cheddar, buttery, onion and garlic flavor that gives me snack satisfaction.
