This two-basket air fryer does double the work of a regular air fryer.

Offering a Match or Sync mode for either basket, you can essentially double the size of your air fryer by taking all of the settings on one basket and applying them to the second, meaning they will finish cooking at the same time and have the exact same treatment.

What is the function of Ninja Foodi?

It has 6 multifunctional cooking programs. But it is also divided into British and American versions.

In the UK it comes with Max Crisp, Air Fry, Roast, Reheat, Dehydrate, and Bake. In the US it comes with Air Broil, Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Reheat, and Dehydrate. 

The only difference is the Max Crisp setting, which is essentially the air frying setting but at at a higher temperature to create added color and crisp. In the US this is replaced with Air Broil, which is high heat broiling but within an air fryer basket, to create a charred effect. So essentially, it's the same function, but with a different name.

The other key difference is the name given to the Match and Sync settings. In the US you can choose between Match Cook and Smart Finish. In the UK these settings are called Match and Sync. 

The Meal Sync/Smart Finish setting allows you to program the two drawers separately with different timings and temperatures and cooks the two side by side so they finish at the same time. If you were to cook potatoes for half an hour in one drawer and chicken for 20 minutes in the other, the potatoes would get a head start and the chicken would automatically start cooking after 10 minutes. 

Match Zone allows you to set the mode, timings and temperature of one zone and match the other to it.

Appearance

While it’s big, the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer is also a great looking machine. 

The matte finish and sleek handles, which match the silver vent at the top of the machine, give it a high quality and professional look that will suit just about any kitchen. 

Recipe

The AF300UK comes with a handy instruction manual that includes a chart of the cooking times and temperatures you’ll need to air fry all sorts of foods. This certainly came in useful, because it’s important to note that you won’t be cooking things in your air fryer the way you would an oven. Ninja claims this can cook up to 75% faster than most fan ovens. 

Clean

The Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer comes with two crisper drawers, and each has a non-stick crisper plate insert. This can be added to elevate the food you air fry, which allows air to circulate around it easily for a more crispy and fried-like result. Both the drawers and the insert plates can be washed in the dishwasher, but they’re also very easy to clean by hand.

Even with the XL in the title, this Ninja Air Fryer will only take up a little space in your kitchen as it’s 11"D x 14"W x 14.75"H.

Even so, its 5.5-quart food capacity is good – many units have a smaller capacity – but it is not the largest capacity in our ratings.

It also weighs 11 pounds, making it one of the lighter air fryers in our rating.

It can heat up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit to cook food faster than other models. However, at 1,750 watts, it is not particularly energy-efficient.
