Legoland California Best Rides

A majority of the rides at LEGOLAND California are geared for younger kids.

Overwhelmingly one of LEGOLAND California’s most popular rides, Driving School is aimed at kids aged 6-13.  It offers them the chance to get behind the wheel of a miniature car, which is equipped with both accelerator and brake pedals. They can take their vehicle for a spin around a circuit that includes real road markings.

Police and Fire Academy is one of the most unique and popular rides at LEGOLAND California.  One half of the attraction sees guests boarding miniature, LEGO-themed fire engines which are propelled forwards by adults pumping an arm up and and down. The other half of the ride features police cars, with the goal being to knock down robbers using the hose.

Captain Cranky's Challenge is a Zamperla Rockin' Tug ride that uses a combination of rocking and whirling motions to simulate sailing in rough seas. It sees guests boarding a small pirate ship-themed gondola that slides up and down a half-pipe track.

AQUAZONE Wave Racer sees guests boarding jet ski-style vehicles, which are attached to one of two central turntables. These rotate around at high speed, throwing up spray as they go. Guests can steer the jet skis, causing them to move closer to or further away from the turntable.

Themed around a medieval joust, the Royal Joust sees guests boarding LEGO-themed horses for a journey around an enchanted forest.

The Hideaways is multi-level climbing, running, crawling, sliding wilderness camp housed in the Castle Hill area gives kids a chance to burn off energy, and parents a chance to get some back.

Duplo Playtown is an outdoor playground equipped with Duplo and LEGO-themed equipment. This play area is filled with slides, pretend vehicles and buildings, and a crawl-through maze.

PHARAOH'S REVENGE is a foam-ball adventure playset where guests can climb, run, and explore all while launching harmless foam balls through cannons as they explore the "maze" of silly obstacles.

In addition, there are a few thrill-type rides that are appropriate for elementary-aged kids and would please teens and adults as well.

The Dragon is LEGOLAND California's signature roller coaster which occupies a large area in the Castle Hill area of the park. The opening section of The Dragon is effectively a dark ride, taking guests on a tour of the interior of the castle. After exiting the castle, The Dragon’s picks up pace as it traverses an outdoor section that features fast turns, dips and inclines.

Coastersaurus is a small steel coaster. Hitting a maximum speed of just 20.5 miles per hour, it races around a small lagoon and past several LEGO dinosaur models.

Technic Coaster is Legoland's fastest and largest coaster. Zipping back and forth along the tight, hairpin turns of this wild mouse coaster, visitors take part in the out-of-control testing of a LEGO TECHNIC car designed specifically for them.

Knights' Tournament was the first ride in the US to use Kuka's "robocoaster" system, based on the company's robotic arm technology. Riders board 2-seater pods that are attached to the end of each arm, and select their preferred "intensity level".

Legoland California "Must See" Attraction

Miniland USA  is a collection of American landmarks from seven different geographical regions of the United States constructed with more than 20 million LEGO bricks at a 1:20 scale. On the upper deck lies the Star Wars area, complete with Death Star.

SEA LIFE Aquarium & LEGOLAND Water Park

Legoland California is just a part of The Legoland California Resort. The optional 1-Day Resort Hopper upgrades let you extend the fun with included entry to SEA LIFE Aquarium and LEGOLAND Water Park with 2nd day free!

SEA LIFE Aquarium features more than 5,000 sea creatures, and the new Sea at Night display, an amazing showcase of natural bioluminescence. Pop-up bubbles allow kids to get a feel for what it would be like to live under the sea.

Legoland Water Park features the LEGO Legends of CHIMA™ Water Park, and the new Surfers' Cove. It is  a wonderful place to cool off and have fun on a hot Southern California Day. Play with foam bricks while you float down Build-A-Raft River or take a spin on one of the water park’s many waterslides.
