Six Flags Over Georgia Rides and Coasters List

Six Flags Over Georgia, like most amusement parks, prides itself on its roller coaster collection.  It features 11 roller coasters, including top-ranked Mind Bender and Goliath that have been recognized annually by Amusement Today. If time is limited,  take the below roller coasters first.

Goliath opened as the tallest coaster in the Southeast. The steel hypercoaster hits a top speed of some 70 miles per hour at the base of its 175-foot first drop, and sprawls across a massive 8.5 acre site. Over the course of three minutes you hit a 540-degree downward helix, essentially a spiral in the middle of all those hills, and pulls a whopping 4Gs – that's four times the force of gravity.

Twisted Cyclone is a combination of a traditional wooden frame and steel track. It features a 75-degree initial drop into a reverse cobra roll, three inversions and 10 airtime moments along 2,400 feet of new steel track.

Dare Devil Dive is a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter coaster. You can feel like a top gun in this fighter-jet themed coaster that starts out with a straight-up 95-foot climb to the sky. From there, it's a free fall back down through a ring of fire, multiple banks, dives and inversions (including a half loop followed by a half twist) and one 360-degree roll, all before you come back in for landing.

Batman: The Ride is a steel inverted coaster manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard. On this roller coaster you'll fly at intense speeds through five inverting elements including two vertical loops, two corkscrews and a zero-gravity heartline spin with your feet dangling free beneath the train.

Georgia Scorcher is a classic example of Stand-up coasters, and was created by leading proponent Bolliger & Mabillard.  As with all stand-up coasters, riders perch on a bicycle-style seat in a standing position. They then race around a 3,000-foot circuit that includes a 101-foot first drop, an 81-foot vertical loop, a corkscrew and a helix.

Superman: Ultimate Flight was the first Bolliger & Mabillard Flying Coaster to open in the US, and the second in the world (after Air at Alton Towers). Riders hang face down below the track to simulate the sensations of flight. Its 2,760 feet of steel track features a pretzel loop, a horseshoe, an inline twist, and a top speed of 50 mph.

Blue Hawk replaces the Ninja roller coaster, which opened at the park in 1992. Tower up the 122 foot lift hill, featuring a fresh coat of shiny blue paint. The anticipation for the 50 plus mile per hour first drop will mount as you comfortably look around at the Atlanta Skyline with our new soft-vest over the shoulder restraints. And smoothly wrap through 2,100 feet of track – turning upside down – on two new roller coaster trains.

Aside from the roller coasters, Six Flags Over Georgia maintains a large number of other rides that you can't miss.

Acrophobia was among the first drop tower rides to employ a magnetic braking system. Standing at 200 feet, Acrophobia is a free fall drop tower that is THE epitome of a thrill ride. As you ascend into the air, you will get a great view of the beautiful Atlanta skyline. The tower slowly spins you at a vertical tilt. Then drops you at a speed of 50 MPH, 100 stories down!

SkyScreamer is a vertigo-inducing variation on the classic "Chair-O-Plane" attraction, and sees riders swinging in a circle around a central tower. Reaching a top of speed of over 43 miles per hour, they are able to take in panoramic views of the park and its surroundings. It is  the tallest ride at the park and is exactly four-stories taller than the park’s gut-wrenching mega coaster Goliath!

Pandemonium is the perfect mix of mayhem and adrenaline that is new for 2019. At a towering 147 feet in the air, Pandemonium reaches speeds up to 70-miles-per-hour, as it swings back and forth—higher and higher giving riders an exhilarating riding experience as they soar high above the Atlanta city skyline.

Log Jamboree is an excellent flume ride.  Jump in a log-shaped raft and speed-glide down a river instead of on a track. After climbing a steep incline, the vessel glides into a rushing luge of water, which whips around and connects to a 60 foot drop into a pool of water.

Riverview Carousel is one of only three remaining five-abreast carousels known to exist and on the National Register of Historical Places. As with all rides of its type, it sees guests boarding one of a number of ornately-decorated model horses, which bob up and down as they rotate around on a central turntable.

In addition, you can cool off at the splashy Hurricane Harbor. This  newly opened water park included in the price of admission to Six Flags Over Georgia that features a 38,000 square foot wave pool, a multi-slide tower and various slides, plus an interactive children’s water play area.

Tsunami Surg is the first hybrid zero-gravity single slide combining two extreme slide thrills. Four riders barrel down an enclosed five-story drop, which includes a 125 foot long whirlpool bowl that will spin you around at 360 degrees.

Bonzai Pipelines is a slide complex with two twisting slides and a third slide featuring a four-story drop. Speed down on a dark and watery decent with family and friends through enclosed tunnels and then soar down 180 and 360 degree curves.

Paradise Island is an interactive water playground.  Splash into this water play structure and get soaked on six slides with dozens of water gadgets, climbing nets, water blasters and tipping buckets.
