Ingredients & Benefits: Decongest and deep cleanse skin with the multi-award-winning EVE LOM Cleanser, the original balm cleanser from beauty industry pioneers EVE LOM. The multi-purpose balm has been expertly balanced to suit all skin types, and combines the brand's signature blend of four aromatic plant oils (Clove, Eucalyptus, Hops and Egyptian Chamomile) to promote glowing, radiant, smoother-looking skin. Clove Oil encourages clear, clarified skin, while Egyptian Chamomile Oil and Cocoa Butter soften, soothe and condition.

Used with the EVE LOM massage technique, it helps drain toxins. And combined with the included muslin cloth, it exfoliates, tones and improves circulation.

Best for: Designed to be used on all skin types and, due to its great make-up removal abilities, is particularly good as the first step in a double cleanse.

Review: One of the first balm cleansers on the market, sold alongside a muslin cloth for removing it, it remains the hero product of the Eve Lom brand. The texture is rather thick, but it melts easily upon contact with the fingers and skin. It also has a grainy texture but the "grains" are definitely non-abrasive, it actually feels really soft. It seems to be mostly mineral oil from looking at the ingredients, which is fairly inert. It's slightly exfoliating when used with the cloth.

| Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

Ingredients & Benefits: Equipped with a unique and innovative texture, the cleverly-designed cleanser turns from a balm to an oil when rubbed into your skin, drenching your base in moisture as it purifies. The potent yet kind-to-skin cleansing balm effortlessly dissolves any trace of makeup, minimising the appearance of enlarged pores and limiting the risk of breakouts and blemishes. A totally clean base is essential when it comes to maintaining brightness and a clear complexion, which is why the cleanser is enriched with Safflower Seed Oil to effectively break down tough, hard-to-remove makeup and excess oil produced by your skin. The rich, velvety texture of the balm creates a protective barrier against harsh external aggressors, locking in moisture and reducing the risk of dryness and tightness.

Best for: Dry and combination skin.

Review: The Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is a makeup remover and cleanser in one. The hard waxy balm texture melts a little on contact with dry skin to become an oil which makes it easy to work with. It removes every last trace of makeup but rinses clean and if you have oily skin and are worried about using oil: fear not. This cleanser rinses completely clean – there's absolutely no residue left behind and it's not greasy at all.

Ingredients & Benefits: This purifying botanical balm cleanses, balances, hydrates, moisturizes and removes makeup on skin of all types. With Moringa Seed Extract, Wild Sea Fennel and Vitamin E to balance, purify and minimise the appearance of open pores and essential oils of Orange, Neroli, Mandarin, Jasmine and Rose to rejuvenate and deeply condition the skin.

CLEANSING CLOTH

Always remove your Moringa Cleansing Balm with an Emma Hardie Dual-Action Professional Cleansing Cloth, which has a gentle microfibre side for product removal and an exfoliating muslin side for polishing the skin.

Best for: All skin types.

Review: Emma Hardie's Moringa Cleansing Balm is an under-sung hero that you'll be hooked on after one use. It'll melt away make-up without melting your face off, and you won't need to go in with a second cleanser after. As it's massaged into the skin it adopts a more emollient consistency which clean. It easily rinses away with the aid of the cloth, or just using the hands with water and the skin is left feeling thoroughly cleansed but not stripped.

As if that doesn't all sound dreamy enough, the balm also doubles up as a super-hydrating mask.
