Six Flags America Rides and Coasters List

There are 10 fast and furious roller coasters along with hundreds of other thrill and casual rides in the theme park. Such as , the phenomenal flying roller coaster BATWING, the 200-foot tall hyper-coaster SUPERMAN: Ride of Steel, and the 24-story (242 feet) swing ride Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth......

Superman: Ride of Steel

Superman: Ride of Steel is a towering hypercoaster manufactured by Swiss firm Intamin. It climbs a 197-foot lift hill and then drops 205-feet at a stomach wrenching 70-degree angle where you'll find yourself flying like Superman at 73 miles-per-hour as you encounter multiple pops of airtime on repetitive hills and drops.

Ragin’ Cajun

Ragin’ Cajun is a spinning roller coaster with speeds and movement effected by the riders themselves. Four people load in each car that spins and careens along a sloping track. This fast roller coaster, uses unique spinning cars, which ensure that no two rides are ever alike as they swerve along the switchback turns and sudden drops that are typical of a Wild Mouse layout.

Firebird

Firebird is an all new coaster featuring Swiss engineered carriages with no floors so the riders legs hang free. The ride starts with a 9 storey drop followed by loop and corkscrew inversions and a figure of eight ending.

The Mind Eraser

Mind Eraser is a 109-foot tall, five-inversion, suspended looping coaster from Vekoma.  After plummeting down the 91-foot first drop at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour, riders race through a roll-over, a sidewinder and two inline twists.

The Joker’s Jinx

The Joker's Jinx is the fastest and only launch coaster at Six Flags America. In just three seconds this roller coaster will launch you out of the station to 60 miles-per-hour. The Joker's Jinx then climbs up 79-feet to enter a twisted maze of steel track known as the "spaghetti bowl". Inside the bowl riders will ascend into and out of a direction reversing cobra roll inversion, a sidewinder twist, multiple reversals and corkscrew finale.

The Wild One

This is a traditional  wooden coaster with a long history involving multiple designers. First opened in 1917 as "The Giant Coaster" at Paragon Park in Nantasket Beach, Massachusetts. It features a number of "airtime" hills and a 450-degree helix.

 Roar

Roar is a wooden roller coaster manufactured by specialist Great Coasters International.  It rises 10 stories in the sky, which means you’ll be taking a drop of 90 feet in the first few seconds, and you’ll be taking it at 50 miles per hour. Bolting over this ingenious and intricate structure, you’ll blast through a 180 degree turn that will leave you speechless—but it probably won’t stop you from screaming.

Batwing

Batwing is a Vekoma "flying" coaster that is themed around the Batman comic books. Guest lie face-down in its 24-seater trains, allowing them to watch the ground rush by as its races through a series of twists, drops and inversions. Nothing feels more like flying than a ride on Batman’s Batwing.

Voodoo Drop

Formerly known as Tower of Doom (1996–2014), the ride was renamed Voodoo Drop due to Southwest Territory being rethemed to Mardi Gras in 2014. Riders on Voodoo Drop (formerly Tower of Doom) are carried to the top of a 140-foot tower, from which they can enjoy stunning views across Six Flags America. Not for long, though, as they are soon freefalling back down towards the ground below.

Flying Carousel

Flying Carousel is a classic "chair-o-plane" style ride, featuring seats which are attached to a central structure by chains. Wave swinger for grown-ups that spins and sails high into the sky like a big merry-go-round then dangles riders like a yoyo.

In addition to thrilling rides and coasters, there are some lightly-themed kids' attractions .You can find them at  the Whistlestop Park and Looney Tunes Movie Town areas.

Whistlestop Park offers rope bridges, sliding boards, swings and more for the littlest set.

Yosemite Sam's Hollywood Flight School give kids opportunity to control the height of their own "aeroplane" on this basic spinning ride.

Furthermore, this theme park has Maryland's largest water park Hurricane Harbor (open seasonally). This is a water park full of traditional amusements, from waterslides to spray grounds. Access to Hurricane Harbor is included with general admission.

Bonzai Pipeline is a high altitude slide where the launching capsule drops six stories below into 200 feet of looping body slides.

Tornado is a 4-person raft ride that takes guests down a 132-foot tunnel into a gigantic funnel that swirls them around before splashing down.

Vortex/Riptide is a pair of half-enclosed body tube slides that feature 360 whirlpools.
