Breville 3X Bluicer vs Pro: Differences and Reviews 2024

Breville 3X Bluicer vs Pro: Differences and Reviews 2024

What do you get when you combine a blender and a juicer together? A Bluicer! The 3X Bluicer marries a blender and a juicer to easily extract juices and improve the taste of blends. This space-saving design has interchangeable parts and several programming options. With the 3X Bluicer™ Pro they can juice and blend more conveniently with one appliance that performs just as well as two individual ones. We will review the Bluicer in detail below and tell you what is the difference between the Breville 3X Bluicer and the 3X Bluicer Pro? Are they expensive? Are they worth it This is a shopping guide!

1. It’s a Blender! It’s a Juicer! It’s…the Breville Bluicer!

Before that, consumers had to choose between a juicer and a blender or buy both.

Then, Breville, the world leader in innovative kitchen appliances, launched the 3X Bluicer™ /3X Bluicer™ Pro and a new beverage category was born:  "Bluicing," mixing fresh juice with fresh blends using the same kitchen appliance.

Both blending and juicing have become very popular in recent years, but if you're only doing one or the other, you're missing out on maximizing the benefits that bluicing offers.

Of course, by now, you can do both, but your counter top will be full and your wallet will be empty. The Breville Buicer allows you to combine different flavors and textures like you never could before – simply, using only one appliance.

How does the 3X Bluicer™ Pro make it easy to combine freshly extracted juice into blends?

Building on Breville's award-winning blenders and juicers, the 3X Bluicer™ Pro has a breakthrough, space-saving design that consists of one base with interchangeable parts: a juicing chute with an attachable pulp bin along with a blending jug that doubles as a carafe for juicing.

The Breville 3x Bluicer Pro has a somewhat silly—but nonetheless accurate—name; it’s a combination of a blender and a juicer.

Of course, the same goes for the 3X Bluicer™ when it comes to appliance construction!

5. Breville 3X Bluicer and 3X Bluicer Pro review

These two appliances are similar in other aspects such as performance, so the Breville 3X Bluicer and 3X Bluicer Pro we mentioned below are almost interchangeable!

5.1. How about their prices?

It’s also fairly pricey: The 3X Bluicer Pro retails for $399.95 and the 3X Bluicer is only slightly more affordable at $299.95.

This blender/juicer combo may be on the pricier side, but it more than makes up for that in versatility and ease. The ingenious design of this appliance allows you to blend, juice (or both!) without any added or unnecessary parts.

Still, a blender or a juicer on its own can be fairly pricey. But at about $400, the Bluicer Pro costs more than our winning centrifugal juicer (the Breville Juice Fountain Cold) and our winning midpriced blender (the Breville Fresh & Furious) combined.

While this Breville is a bit of splurge, remember that you're getting two machines in one and taking up less space in the process. Bonus! We decided the Bluicer was worth checking out.

5.2. How about their juice production?

The Bluicer is a centrifugal juicer, so it's not a rival for the best cold press juicers. If you’re a true juice aficionado, you won’t be happy with the juice yields from the 3X Bluicer, which are lower than you’ll get from a top-end masticating or slow juicer.

It’s still a great option for most juices. Though the yield was only 60% — that beats the yield I got when making this juice in most other juicers — it's still a pretty impressive amount.

One of the most common complaints with centrifugal juicers is that they leave a lot of damp pulp, which suggests that the juicer didn't manage to extract much juice from the fruit or vegetables. The Breville The 3x Bluicer left a relatively small amount of very dry pulp, and it was easy to scoop this out and remove it using the cleaning brush.

5.3. What is the quality of the juice they produce?

The juice was sweet and fresh with a delicious taste. It was virtually smooth, but there was a slightly powdery mouthfeel from some minute pieces that had made their way into it. As is the case with centrifugal juicers, my glass of juice was covered in foam.

If juicing apples or oranges with it, we might taste a small amount of small pieces of apple or orange pulp in the juice, so it's not 100% smooth, but I personally don't mind.

It was frothy on top as I’ve come to expect from this juicer, though slightly smoother and cleaner tasting than the other juices above.

5.4. Are they easy to use?

I’m surprised at how intuitively all the juicer parts slot together and I like that the blender jug doubles as the juice container. The controls are all very simple, too. There are five speed settings, and each button has a small illustration of a fruit or vegetable to give you an idea of what it’s best used for when juicing.

All-in-all, I got to grips with it very quickly and can happily report that everything is pretty straightforward to use and assemble.

The base of the Breville The 3x Bluicer has preset modes for both blending and juicing. It has a smart display with an 'On' button that can also be pressed to pause when mid-cycle.

The modes feature blending settings for self-cleaning, ice crush, smoothies, and frozen drinks. Each one lasts 60 seconds, and the monitor shows a countdown while the cycle is running.

It's a little different for the juicing modes. While there are no explicit presets, you can get the rough idea of which mode to use depending on what fruit or veg you're juicing using the image above the numbers, from 1 to 5.

There is also a handy chart that helps you identify which settings to use when jucing, with a breakdown of the different fruit and vegetables that you can use with each setting. Generally speaking though, 1 is the best setting for soft ingredients, and 5 is best for hard items such as carrots.

The 3X Bluicer features a 3.5" wide chute, Cold Spin Technology, 4 x one-touch programs, and 5 speed settings. In juicer mode, you can feed fruits and vegetables into the chute, and extract fresh juice straight into the 50oz blender jug via a funnel from the juicing jug that inserts into an opening at the top. From there, enjoy your juice on its own, or make a smoothie or cocktail - some bluice - with your fresh-squeezed juice already awaiting solid add-ins in the blender container.

Solid leftovers from juicing go into a pulp bin fitted behind the 3X Bluicer base. Cold Spin Technology allows you to juice without increasing your end product's temperature by any more than 1.8 degrees F. The Bluicer's Kinetix bowl and blade system also enable the blend portion of the appliance to provide some food processing tasks, such as crushing and chopping ice, turning it to snow, and folding and aerating to make smoothies and soups creamier. A great kitchen gift for the avid blender, juicer, and soon-to-be converted Bluicer in your life.

The 3X Bluicer Pro combines “a juicing chute with an attachable pulp bin along with a blending jug that doubles as a carafe for juicing.” Basically, it is a two-for-one kitchen appliance.

For the blender aspect, this kitchen appliance can make smoothies, cocktails and more. It basically has the power and speed to create all the popular blended drinks. Additionally, it can make a variety of nut butters and sauces.

The juicer portion incorporates cold spin technology which helps to keep more of the nutrients from the fruits and vegetables. With a large chute, whole fruits and vegetables are easily fed into the appliance.

Did we mention it arrives fully assembled? No complicated set-up will stand between you and a delicious glass of fresh-pressed juice.

5.5. Are they easy to clean?

Many juicers have dishwasher-safe parts, but some do not. The most important thing about cleaning a juicer is that fruits and vegetables contain moisture and sugar. If a juicer isn’t cleaned right away, all the bits of pulp and sticky juice can make cleaning much more difficult.

But the Breville The 3x Bluicer actually makes it pretty easy. With the blending mode, there is a very capable self-clean setting that means you can just add some water and a bit of dish soap in, and press self-clean.

There’s usually some pulp collected on the lid of the pulp container, but once that has been removed and the pulp container is emptied, it can all go in the dishwasher, apart from the pusher, which needs rinsing by hand.

It comes with a brush that helps to scrub away the pulp and fibers from the filter, and it's easy to rinse off the bin and attachments.

5.6. Are they loud?

All centrifugal juicers make some loud noises because they spin too fast. The 3x Bluicer may not produce the same amount of noise as it has several speed settings.

When it's at slower speeds, it's at 70 decibels, but I'd say it doesn't feel loud because it's so fast.

When it's at faster speeds, it's at 80 decibels, and it's not exactly quiet, but it's fast, so you don't have to live with the noise for long.

Conclusion:

The Breville 3X Bluicer (also known as the Sage 3X Bluicer in the UK) costs close to $400/£300, which is a lot of money. But when you factor in the cost of high-end juicers and stand-alone blenders, the numbers start to add up, and the prices don't seem so outrageous. You can also enjoy some discounts with Extrabux's rebate!

Before Breville introduced Bluicing, foodies had to have both a juicer and a blender. These two kitchen essentials require a lot of counter space or cabinet space. However, foodies always want their options.

The 3X Bluicer Pro combines “a juicing chute with an attachable pulp bin along with a blending jug that doubles as a carafe for juicing.” Basically, it is a two-for-one kitchen appliance.

When it comes to blender, this kitchen appliance can make smoothies, cocktails, and more. It has the power and speed to make basically all popular mixed drinks. Plus, it can make a variety of nut butters and sauces.

The juicer section adopts cold spin technology, which helps to retain more nutrients in fruits and vegetables. The large chute makes it easy to feed whole fruits and vegetables into the unit.

In addition to being functional, it also works acceptable, at least better than most appliances. Plus this is a trustworthy brand, all materials are of good quality, and all workmanship is exquisite. So I would recommend these two appliances.
