3. Osprey ATMOS AG 65

Google Users Rating: 4.7 /5

Review: The Atmos™ AG 65 is the best-fitting, most ventilated and comfortable pack ever made for traditional backpacking trips up to a week or more in duration.

Osprey's brilliant Anti-Gravity suspension supports the load and holds it slightly away from your back for comfortable carrying through the kilometres. Tons of pockets let you organize all your gear so you're never left searching for a place to stash your trail mix, and side compression straps let you keep things streamlined as you eat through your food. On lightweight missions, swap out the top lid for the included FlapJacket lid to save weight.

4.  DYNA 1.5 WITH 1.5L RESERVOIR

Google Users Rating:  4.5/5

Review: The Dyna 1.5 is a svelte hydration companion perfect for training runs, long races, or streamlined days in the mountains. While it may be the smallest volume of the series, it will carry you further than you ever imagined. With a body-hugging women’s-specific fit that provides bounce-free carry, smart and accessible organization for fuel and gear, and an included Hydraulics® LT 1.5L reservoir that can be supplemented with soft flasks, the Dyna 1.5 helps you focus on what matters most: continuous forward motion.

It looks less like a vest and more like a thick backpack but still cute and comfy. The pack fits great, a little on the snug side but that’s necessary for it to stay in place.

  • Vest-pack fit provides bounce-free stability and purpose-built for incredible comfort so you can focus on FKT's and PR's.

  • Bottles, reservoirs, and add-on flexibility for short runs, long runs, and everything in between. You decide what you need.

  • Pockets up front for quick access to fuel and soft flasks, trekking pole storage when you need to use your hands as much as your feet to move forward, and room for rain gear and extra layers.

  • Vertical zippered harness slash pocket for valuables or phone.

5. Osprey KRESTA 20

Google Users Rating:  4.5/5

Review: The Kresta 20 is fashioned with a women-specific, Light Wire suspension system that when combined with the padded help belt and stabilization straps, provide a comfortable and pressure-free haul.  This pack is sustainably made from bluesign® approved recycled materials with a PFC-free DWR coating that sheds moisture.

The thermoformed, contoured back panel sheds snow easily, and ultimately reduces the build-up of frozen precipitation. A dual-position, deployable helmet net makes carrying your melon-protector easy (when it's not in use).  The Kresta boasts a horizontal snowboarding carrying feature, or if you're of the dual-planked nature, it also touts an A-frame or diagonal ski carrying design. More importantly, the Kresta has a J-shaped avalanche gear compartment, complete with dry pocket, so you're able to access your safety gear in a flash and separate other sensitive items from wet skins or damp clothing. And a back panel entry system enables you to access snacks or extra layers quickly, and all of the Kresta's zipper pulls, as well as buckles, are glove and mitten friendly.

Pros  Cons
  • Full-featured and organization including an avy pocket, wet/dry gear storage, snowshed backpanel, glove-friendly buckles, scratch-free goggle pocket and helmet carry.

  • Stable ski and snowboard carry for boot packing tours in or out of bounds.

  • Gender-specific sizing and superior fit for efficient and ultimately safer movement in the mountains.

  • Quick and easy diagonal ski carry.

  • Vertical front panel and horizontal snowboard carry;

  • Easy-access accessories/goggles stash pocket.

  • Dual position (front or top of pack) stow-away helmet carry.

  • Single ice tool carry loop and attachment point.

  • Dual zippered hipbelt pockets, Internal zipper stash pocket.

  • Large front panel J-zip access to small gear/food pocket with internal.

  • You can't tighten the short straps on the top of the shoulder. When it is tightened, the shoulder strap bunches up and then digs into your shoulder blades or below your neck.

  • The hip pockets are difficult to zip back up with one hand and the pocket could just be a little smaller so you are able to zip it shut.

6. Osprey AETHER PRO 70

Google Users Rating:  4.8/5

Review: Osprey's stripped down, streamlined and svelte Aether Pro 70 is made for type-two adventures that span days or months; alpine climbing expeditions with remote basecamps, or boundary-pushing thru-hikes through unknown landscapes where the only trail is the one you make. WIth one zipper and strengthened hardware, this pack provides worry-free dependability. The hipbelt and harness are interchangeable, and the hipbelt can be custom molded to achieve a fit that's as perfect as this pack.

It's light weight, easy to reach and roomy hip belt pockets, tough fabric and simplicity are superior to the anything else I tried in the Osprey line.
