If this road trip with kids, don't miss the Dinosaur Park in Wyldwood. You can spend a little over an hour exploring the dinosaur path and looking at and taking pictures of all the dinosaurs. They have a scavenger hunt to add to the fun and kids will really enjoy looking for all the hidden items. The Jurassic Park jeeps are also a nice little treat! They have a great little gift shop with decent prices. Good selection with fun dino-themed toys and jewelry. If you have dino-lovers in your family this will definitely be a great treat!

Art Connections Gallery (La Grange)

Great place for quality art. If you are in the La Grange area treat yourself to an enjoyable experience. Located off the historic La Grange square. You’ll find beautiful pieces of art here, hand made jewelry, pottery, even gorgeous beaded purses. There’s definitely a gift here waiting for you to give to that someone special. The prices may seem a bit high, but they are one of a kind pieces. You won’t find them in any of the big chain stores.

Mary Jo Peckham Park (Katy)

Known as the "park for all children." Great park for family fun. They have a nice big pond stocked with fish with a pavilion next to it for small parties. There are several playgrounds for kids of different ages. There is also free mini golf. The area is beautiful and is a must see if you have never been there. Stop by and enjoy a small local park for all ages! Lots of shady trees, fishing pond, walking trail, and picnicking areas nestle among surrounding subdivisions. The playground isn't too shabby either for the kidos. Adequate parking. 

NASA's Space Center (Houston)

Space Center Houston is one of Houston’s top attractions, the Official Visitor Center of NASA Johnson Space Center. The center features more than 400 space artifacts as well as numerous permanent and traveling exhibits, attractions and theaters related to the exciting future and remarkable past of America’s human space-flight program. Known around the world as the home of NASA Mission Control, International Space Station Mission Control and astronaut training, guests are taken behind the scenes to see NASA Johnson Space Center. Space Center Houston is open every day except Christmas day.
