Six Flags Over Texas Rides and Roller Coasters List

Six Flags Over Texas has more than 50 rides, including thrill rides (roller coasters), kids' rides and family rides. Let’s take a look at a couple of the most popular thrill rides at the park first.

NEW for 2019, El Diablo is the 14th and most unique roller coaster. 32 passengers sit in pairs facing each other in a curved train which goes back and forwards at increasing speeds inside a huge loop. Going higher and higher the train eventually reaches the top of the loop leaving riders temporarily suspended upside down 100 feet above the ground.

Mr Freeze: Reverse Blast is a revamped version of the existing Mr Freeze roller coaster. The ride catapults guests from 0 to 70 mph in 3.8 seconds through a 190' tunnel and up into a 180 degree inversion that flips riders completely upside-down.

Batman: The Ride is a steel inverted coaster that features a number of inversions, including two 360-degree loops, a zero-g roll and a corkscrew. It reaches speeds of 50 miles per hour and towers almost 11 stories high.

The Joker drags riders up a 120ft 90 degree hill to start and then subjects them to two free falling beyond 90 degree drops and at least 6 upside-down flips. The seats project sideways outside the track adding to the experience. Step on board this 4D free-fly wing coaster to experience a unique roller coaster ride!

Titan combines the layout of a hypercoaster and twister to form one intense ride. It stands more than 255 feet tall and reaches speeds of 85 miles per hour. Riders head up the first 245-foot hill and are dropped into a 120-foot underground tunnel. After a large turnaround, riders are subjected to several camel backs, two 540-degree helixes and more than a few twists and turns before stopping a full three and a half minutes after takeoff.

New Texas Giant, formerly known as Texas Giant, is a steel roller coaster . The ride underwent an 18-month refurbishment, transforming from a wood track to steel and reopening in 2011. Manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction, the New Texas Giant stands 153 ft (47 m) tall and features a 79° drop stretching 147 ft (45 m). The ride also features multiple turns banked up to 115° and over 4,506 feet (1,373 m) of track.

Judge Roy Scream was the first wooden coaster to open at the park. After climbing to the top of a 71-foot lift hill, riders plummet down a 65-foot drop, hitting a top speed of 53 miles per hour. The remainder of the circuit is an out-and-back design, featuring a number of small drops.

The Riddler Revenge is an enormous swinging pendulum ride, in which guests sit around a round disk. This swings back and forth up to 147 feet in the air while rotating counterclockwise.

Superman: Tower of Power is the tallest ride in the world to use both space shot and turbo drop sequences. The attraction combines an S&S Space Shot ride experience with that of a traditional freefall drop tower. As such, it sees riders blasted to the top of its tower, before dropping to a point about halfway down. They are then lifted to the top, before plummeting back down to the ground below.

New for 2018, Harley Quinn Spinsanity is a futuristic concentric square design that allows the 24 seat gondola to spin on three separate axes in a continuous movement.

Texas SkyScreamer is a vertigo-inducing variation on classic "Chair-O-Plane" attractions that stands at a record-breaking 400-feet-tall, offering stunning views across the park and beyond.

There are plenty of fun things to do with younger kids all over the Six Flags Over Texas. Bugs Bunny BoomTown is an area that was made for small children. These rides spin, fly and are perfect for their height and age.

Yosemite Sam’s Texas Tea Cups is  a junior version of a classic tea cup ride, which sees young riders boarding cup-themed cars that rotate around on a turntable.

Batwing is a nicely-themed version of a classic Dumbo-style spinning children's attraction. You can control the height of your plane by yourselves.

Silver Star Carousel was the last ride of its type to be created by renowned designer William Dentzelfeatures that featuring 50 jumping horses, 16 standing horses and two chariots that rotate around on a turntable.

If you want to sit back and explore the entire park, the Boomtown Depot train ride is an excellent option for getting off your feet as it takes you on a tour around the park through areas not accessible by foot.

In Addition, there are several water rides for cooling off on a hot Texas summer day. Roaring Rapids sees groups of up to twelve guests boarding circular rafts before racing around a fast-moving "river" circuit.
