If you want to shop online and save money by getting cash back:
DO enable cookies on your browser while you are shopping. Extrabux's stores use cookies to track what you buy so you can get cash back for your order!
DO click through to the store ONLY from Extrabux. Clicking through from other websites or typing the URL directly into your web browser without going through Extrabux may cancel our commission and cancel your cash back.
DO make sure your shopping cart is empty when you click through to the store from Extrabux. If you have items already saved in your shopping cart, you may not be eligible for cash back on those items. The retailers track when you put items in your cart and if you didn't do it after you clicked through from Extrabux they may not pay us a commission for your order and we can't give you the cash back.
DO complete your purchase quickly. You don't have to sprint, but you also shouldn't shop like it's a marathon. If you get distracted and take too long to checkout the tracking and cookies can expire and your order may not track back to Extrabux. The best method is focused shopping. Have an idea of what you want and go get it without taking days to complete your purchase. Distractions happen, so if you do get waylaid, it's best to empty your shopping cart, and when you are ready to continue, go back to Extrabux and click through to the store again.
DON'T click on other links to go to an online store or click on pop-up ads while searching and shopping; doing so can mess up the cookies and your order may not track back to Extrabux, even if you clicked on the Extrabux link.
DON'T delete cookies while you are shopping. Cookies are the key to getting cash back so make sure cookies are enabled on your computer. We all delete cookies now and then but if you happen to do it while in the middle of an Extrabux shopping session the tracking will stop and we won't get the commission and you won't get cash back. So wait to clear your cookies until after all of your shopping is complete.
DON'T close the store website while shopping. If you do, you must go back to the Extrabux store page and click through from Extrabux again to start a new session. (Yes, this is basically about cookies, too.) Also, make sure your shopping cart is empty when you click back to the store.
DON'T leave items in your store shopping cart before placing your next order. Even if you click back through Extrabux for your next order, items that are already in your cart (and potentially the whole order) may not be eligible for cash back. Stores want you to put items in your cart only after you've clicked through from Extrabux. So, clear your cart each time you exit the store site to make sure you get cash back on your next order.
DON'T checkout multiple times at an online store without clicking back through Extrabux. If you want to keep shopping after checking out the first time, you must go back to Extrabux and click back through to the store again. Even if you are ordering the same item at the same store but in a new order, you need to have a new record of clicking through to the store to go with your new order. So, after every checkout, go back to Extrabux to start again and click back to the same store or select a new store.
Coupon Do's & Don'ts
If you want to use coupons AND get cash back, follow the above procedures PLUS:
DO use coupon codes and discounts that are posted on Extrabux.
DON'T use coupons or promotion codes from other websites. Stores track the codes you use and they won't give Extrabux the commission for your order if you use a code from somewhere else.
DON'T use coupons you get in emails from the store or other sources unless the same IDENTICAL coupon CODE is also posted on Extrabux. Using a coupon code sent directly from the retailer may cancel the cash back. The store won't pay us a commission for referring the order and we won't have it to share with you as cash back.
DON'T use discounts from other sources including postal mail, blogs, employee discount or VIP programs, or for any other programs not posted on Extrabux. Do figure out the best deal for YOU with all of your options. But if you try to combine other deals with Extrabux cash back the store may void the commission to us and the cash back for you.
